This week on Talkin’ Bout My Generation, Mike suggested we discuss television from 20 years ago. Turns out there was quite a bit that happened at this time – HISTORY making things. Arsenio went off the air. Caesar Romero passed away. And a White Ford Bronco carried the Juice on a slow speed chase. Join in as Mike and I talk about the year 1994, and how it affected television in general.

I apologize, folks – I’ve been trying to get these out on time for Saturday mornings, but things have been a little hectic with editing and computer issues. That said, we’re jumping back to 1996 to discuss one of Adam Sandler’s cult classics. We have Christopher McDonald and Adam Sandler going head to head, Julie Bowen looking hot in lingerie, and Carl Weathers as the former golf pro. We’re talking Happy Gilmore this week!

In honor of Nintendo’s 125th anniversary, we decided to finally get another video game podcast in! Return to the land of Hyrule, as a part of the 16 bit Super Nintendo System.

In this week’s episode, Mike Blanchard and I go back to 1992, when the Dark World and the Light World messed with the canon of a beautiful princess – a princess captured by an evil magician named Aghanim.

What is this wonderful game, that was arguably the best of the entire series? None other than The Legend of Zelda – A Link To The Past.

This week, Mike Blanchard and I talk about an aural experience.

Yes, AURAL.

Get your mind out of the gutter.

No, what I’m talking about is the power of song. The music that defines movies of our generation – these are songs that you hear and instantly know the movie. It takes you back to a theatre when you were a kid, traveling to a galaxy far, far, away – or to fly under a yellow sun in tights. The music that brings back memories of running through Philadelphia? That’s here as well.

So join us this week as Mike and I talk about powerful instrumental music that brings us back in time to remember the magic of the movies, with our Top 10 Movie Themes.
